The offices of five secretaries were reshuffled on Monday with the consent of the prime minister.
The public administration ministry has issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Senior secretary to the ministry of water resources Shaikh Altaf Ali was transferred to the president’s office as senior secretary while secretary to the president’s office Monjur Hossain was made local government secretary.
Expatriate welfare secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan was made water resources secretary while housing and public works secretary Dr Khondker Showkat Hossain was transferred as expatriate welfare secretary.
Acting secretary to the local government division Golam Rabbani was transferred to the housing and public works ministry as acting secretary.
Earlier, the prime minister approved the proposal of the public administration ministry to reshuffle the offices of the above secretaries.
