Syed Shahed Reza, the secretary general of Bangladesh Olympic Association was nominated as the president of Bangladesh Butthan Federation in an executive committee meeting held at the federation’s Mohakhali office premises yesterday.
The 29-member executive committee was selected for five-year tenure and Dr MAK Yuree retained his post as the general secretary. BOA vice-president and the gymnastics federation president Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, additional police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Sheikh Md Maruf Hasan and Barrister Tania Amir were also present on the occasion.
Butthan federation started its journey back in 2000 and was affiliated to the National Sports Council in 2013.
