'Anonymity in Facebook soon'

Facebook may soon loose its policy on the authenticity of its users and allow discretion of identity including fake profiles, its founder hinted in an interview.

“If you are always under the pressure of real identity, I think that is somewhat of a burden,” Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told Bloomberg Businessweek.

“I do not know if the balance has swung too far, but I definitely think we are at the point where we do not need to keep on only doing real identity things.”

However, the young CEO of Facebook did not elaborate on the policies that would be undertaken to relax on the prevailing strictness on identity authenticity.

Facebook, the online social network has turned 10 years in this year.
