The two day National Kite Festival started at the Laboni and Sugandha Point of Cox’s Bazar sea beach yesterday.
Information minster Hasanul Haque Inu inaugurated the festival flying 20 rose kites and the traditional big kite. An array of kites – including dragon kites, pocket kites, train kites and series kites - off various colours brightened up the sky over the beach in a soothing exhibition.
The Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jun, Chittagong divisional commissioner Md. Abdullah, Cox’s Bazar DC Ruhul Amin, kite federation president A.R. Khan and secretary Shahjahan Mridha and Walton additional director A.F.M Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn were also present on the occasion.
