A teenager has been killed and five others have been injured as two motorcycles collided with each other and skidded off the road in Hatirjheel area on Friday evening.
The deceased was identified as Badhon Rana, 16.
Ramna police station Office-in-charge Moshiur Rahman said: “Two motorcycles carrying three people each collided with each other while racing and skipped off the road and hit the road’s island around 4:15pm.”
He said: “Badhon died on the spot. Two others injured, Hridoy and Rasel have been admitted to Dhaka Medical college Hospital while three others received minor injuries.”
Of the injured, Hridoy is in critical condition.
