Separate Dhaka courts denied bail to BNP Vice President Sadeque Hossain Khoka and standing committee member Moudud Ahmed on Monday.
Jatrabari police Sub Inspector Mominul Haque sought to grill Khoka 10 days in police custody in a case for arson, vandalism and explosion.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman denied the remand and also the bail plea from defense and sent Khoka to jail.
Sadeque Hossain Khoka can be interrogated in prison within five working days, the order said.
Meanwhile, Moudud Ahmed was denied bail in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission for purportedly grabbing a government house in Gulshan area.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh squashed the bail plea. Moudud was produced at court brought in from Kashimpur jail.
Mahbub Uddin Khokan argued in favour of Moudud Ahmed while Mosharraf Hossain Kajol, the lawyer for anti-graft watchdog, contested the bail.
Moudud can be interrogated in prison within three working days.
