HC clears way for 10 truck arms verdict

The High Court has scrapped petitions to alter the court and re-interrogate the investigation officer in the sensational 10 trucks arms haul case.

The bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed scrapped the petitions on Monday clearing the path for verdict in this case on January 30.

National Security Intelligence (NSI) filed a petition seeking re-interrogation of Investigation Officer Ahadur Rahman in this case on January 12 this year.

Chittagong special tribunal Judge SM Mojibur Rahman has set January 30 to deliver the verdict in 10 trucks arms haul case 10 years after the incident.

On April 1, 2004, police seized 10 trucks laden with arms and ammunition in CUFL Jettighat of Chittagong. Two cases were filed with Karnaphuli police.
