Five key committees, including the Executive Committee on National Economic Council (ECNEC) of the government were reorganised on Sunday.
The old committees were dissolved at once after the reorganisation, a gazette issued in this regard signed by Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said.
The three other committees are: cabinet committees on public purchase affairs, national award affairs, economic affairs and that on law and order affairs.
Concerned ministers and state ministers are also the member of the committees, the order said.
Prime Minister Sheikh has been made the chairman of the ECNEC as usual while Finance Minister AMA Muhith was made its alternative chairman.
Otehr members of the ECNEC are: ministers for industries, commerce, agriculture, post and telecommunications, expatriate welfare, housing and public works, communication, water resources, shipping, planning and finance.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith was made the chairman of cabinet committee public purchase affairs, economic affairs and national award affairs.
Other members of the public purchase committee are: ministers for industries, commerce, agriculture, post and telecommunication, local government, expatriate welfare, housing and public works, communication, planning and State Minister for labour and employment.
Other members of economic affairs are: ministers for industries, commerce, agriculture, post and telecommunication, local government, expatriate welfare, civil aviation and tourism, law, planning and the executive chairman of the Board of Investment.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu was made the chairman of cabinet committee on law and order affairs.
Others in the committee are: ministers for commerce, post and telecommunication, health, local government, expatriate welfare, civil aviation, information, water resources, shipping, and state ministers for labour and home.
Other members of the national award affairs committee are: ministers for industries, commerce, post and telecommunication, communication, information, education, cultural affairs and social welfare.
