Ganajagaran Mancha’s 2nd road march on Jan 17

Ganajagaran Mancha will launch its second road march on January 17-19, marching to Thakurgaon to protest the recent communal violence against local Hindus centring the 10th parliamentary poll.

The Mancha Spokesperson Dr Imran H Sarkar declared the shift of the programme at a press conference held in front of National Museum of Shahbagh on Wednesday.

While he had announced to start their second road march from January 16, the programme will now start from January 17 due to some unavoidable situation.

According to the previous announcement, the Mancha had issued a three-point demand that includes introducing separate laws to ensure stern action against communal attackers, bringing the perpetrators of the recent atrocities to book immediately with a speedy trial, and to ensure adequate compensation for the victim’s families.

The Mancha spokesman Imran H Sarkar announced the program on Wednesday (15th January).

On January 10, the Mancha had launched their first road march to Jessore’s Malopara with the participation of around 250 members.
