400 sued for Bogra police station attack

A total of 400 opposition activists, including some top leaders of BNP, were sued in a case filed over attack on a police station in Bogra Sadar during elections.

Gabtoli police Sub-Inspector Nazrul Islam filed the case on Monday morning against 50 named and anonymous others. They are all opposition activists.

The names include Gabtoli municipality mayor and BNP leader Morshed Milton and upazila BNP Organising Secretary Saifullah.

On Sunday, opposition supporters attacked Gabtoli Police Station in the morning during the voting for 10th parliamentary elections in the area.

Police fired 118 rounds of bullets to bring situation under control. At least five people, including, policemen were injured during the attack.
