Voting for 10th parliament through four centres in two constituenciesof Lakshmipur were scrapped on Sunday morning after polling centres came under attack.
District Polling Officer Sohel Samad confirmed the Dhaka Tribune that voting was called off from Lakshmipur-1 and Lakshmipur-4 constituencies for the attacks.
Lakshmipur-1 constituency has a voter population of 185,210 and Lalmonirhat-4 constituency has a voter 267,179 voters.
There are four polling stations in these two constituencies, all of which came under attack on Saturday on the eve of the elections.
The voting centres in Lakshmipur-1 are Faridchar Government Primary School, Paniwala Government Primary School and Balikapur Government Primary School.
The voting centre in Lakshmipur-4 is South Char Laurence Government Primary School.
