Two people were killed and three others injured when blockaders hurled petrol bombs at a truck in the area called Nishira of Hakimpur upazila earlier on Friday.
The deceased were Shahnewaz, 32, and Adinur Rahman.
Hakimpur police station Sub-Inspector Abu Sayem confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
Surviving employees of the truck said blockaders hurled petrol bombs at the Gaibandha-bound truck when it arrived at Nishira at 12:45am.
The truck fell into a roadside ditch after the driver lost control over the vehicle. Two of truck workers were burnt alive while three were injured.
The bodies were sent to Hakimpur police station, said the SI.
