Ferry services on the Mawa-Kewrakandi route resumed on Saturday morning after a halt for 10 hours due to blurred visibility for dense fog, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation manager Sirajul Haque said ferry services were restored at 8am with the disappearance of fog that remained halted from 9pm on Friday.
Besides, Ro-Ro ferry Shah Makhdum started from Mawaghat but it got stuck in Magukhanda channel due to thick fog.
About 600 vehicles remained stuck on both sides of the ghat, causing immense sufferings to the passengersesspecially for women and children.
