Md. Hasan Khan of Bangladesh won the gold medal in the individual event of the 4th International Karate Championship at Barasat, Kolkata yesterday.
In the same event, Rafikul Islam of Bangladesh clinched the bronze. A total of 32 players participated in the event.
F.M. Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, the additional director of Walton - who are sponsoring the karate team - distributed prizes as the chief guest. Humayun Kabir Jewel, the deputy chairman of the South Asian Karate Federation, was also present on the occasion.
