At least six people were injured as a gas cylinder of a passenger bus exploded in front of Mirpur Central Temple in the capital’s Mirpur 2 area on Sunday night.
The injured are manager of the bus Mojibur Rahman, 45, Habib Talukder, 35, Abdul Hannan, 35, Hanif Khan, 19, Bisal,17, and Shamim, 25, reports our Correspondent Md Jamil Khan.
Monirul Islam, sub-inspector of Mirpur police station, said the gas cylinder of a passenger bus of Tanzil Paribahan blasted around 10:10pm while the bus was being repaired, leaving six people, including the manager of the bus injured.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition, said the SI.
Of the injured, the condition of Mojibur, Habib, Bisal and Hannan was critical, said Partha Shankar Pal, resident surgeon of DMCH burn unit.
