‘Ajob’ to perform live at Shadhin 92.4fm today

Popular fusion rock band Ajob will perform live today at 11pm celebrating its recently released second album Hajar Bhooter Rajar Doya.

Ajob is a band that fuses folk and contemporary Bangla melodies with rock, funk and alternative arrangements. The band’s latest album comprises 10 new tracks – recorded, mixed and mastered in Dhaka and London.

A central theme throughout Ajob’s new album is paying tribute to artists and musicians the band loves, admires and respects. Tracks feature a number of Bangladeshi and international artists who the band feels the genre owes a debt to, such as Anusheh Anadil, Paban Das Baul and Sam Mills. Drawing inspiration from folk, rock, funk, pop, and seemingly everything else in between, the new album is richly textured with traditional instruments like dotara, dhol and khomok blending with guitars, bass and drums to produce a raw, original sound.
