Prime minister Sheikh Hasina said the government has shown utmost restraint, but it cannot tolerate anymore.
She was addressing a discussion organised by Bangladesh Awami League on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day at Krishibid Institution auditorium Saturday afternoon.
“BNP-Jamat forces are losing their right to movement by creating vandalism and destruction,” the premier said.
She said, any party has the right of boycotting election, but no right to wage war against people in the name of movement, she added.
She claimed that the government has punished one of the war criminals and others will have the same fate.
She showed deep respect and homage to the martyr intellectuals.
Hasina also urged opposition leader Khaleda Zia to stop killings and her attempt to protect the war criminals.
“People of the country know how to reply these atrocities. The government will also be least tolerant,” she said.
