Quader Molla buried at village home

War Crimes convict Andul Quader Molla, who was executed on Thursday night, was buried at his village home in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur district early Friday.

He was laid to rest beside his father’s grave at his family graveyard at Amirabad village around 4:15 am.

He was executed last night at Dhaka Central Jail at 10.01pm.

The prison authorities kept Quader Molla’s body hanging for about half an hour and after that the prison doctors examined the body and confirmed his death.

After an autopsy, an ambulance escorted by police carried the body to Quader Molla’s village home in Faridpur from Dhaka central jail.

According to official sources, his body arrived at his home premises at around 3.10 am through Dhaka-Mawa highway.

After the arrival of the body, all Islamic formalities were observed. After the Janaza he was laid to rest at a family graveyard located in the premises of his house.

Sadarpur upazila Nirbahi Officer and Officer-in-charge of Sadarpur police station along with other people were present at the Janaza and burial.

Security has been tightened further across the country, including the capital and his village home, to avert any unpleasant incident over his execution.
