Six people, including two police personnel were injured during a clash between Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir activists with police in capital’s Mirpur area on.
A group of 10-15 Shibir activists gathered at Mirpur-11 bus stand in the city around 2:30pm on Thursday and exploded some eight crude bombs.
The Shibir activists hurled brick chips and crude bombs targeting the police as the law enforcers chased them during the incident.
Assistant Sub-Inspectors Rasedul Hasan and Kamruzzaman of Pallabi police station were injured during the clash. Four other injured were Shibir members, said Sub-Inspector Jahid from Pallabi police station.
“Police nabbed four Shibir activists from the scene,” he added.
All six injured are under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
