Miscreants removed around 250 clips from the Lalmonirhat-Burimari railway in Lalmonirhat train communication in the district, early on Wednesday.
The sabotage was committed during the BNP-led 18-party alliance's nationwide blockade.
Lalmonirhat Government Railway Police Officer-in-Charge Shamsul Alam blamed Jamaat-e- Islami supporters for the sabotage.
Train communications have been down along the route since dawn.
Lalmonirhat Railway Divisional Assistant Traffic Superintendent Sazzad Hossain said railway mechanical engineers rushed to the spot and began repairs.
The incident takes place amidst uncertainty with the execution of Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Molla.
