Railway sabotage: 82 sued in Gaibandha

Railway police on Thursday filed a case against some 82 people for their alleged involvement with Gaibandha railway sabotage that killed five people and injured 100 others

Confirming about the case, Bonpara police station Officer-in-charge Saidul Rahman said some 82 people including two Islami Chhatra Shibir activists were sued over Gaibandha railway sabotage.

Earlier on Wednesday, five passengers were killed and over 100 others injured when a train derailed after miscreants removed the fishplates in Gaibandha around 1:15am.

Later, Shibir activists Mohammad Saddam Hossain and Dudu Mia were arrested over the incident.
