Law enforcers arrested two people with 400 bullets while they were closing a police check post in the district’s GEC Intersection on Saturday morning.
The identities of the detainees could not be known immediately.
On suspicion, police stopped their vehicle and arrested them with 300 bullets of pistol and 100 bullets of short gun from the check post in GEC Intersection around 5:30am.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (Kotwali Circle) Assistant Commissioner Mirza Saiem Mahmmud said they were suspected that the arrestees had plans to conduct subversive acts during the 72-hour countrywide blockade.
