Police arrested a top Islami Chhatra Shibir leader from Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong for the recent mayhem on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
Kutubuddin Shibli, president of Shibir's district unit (north) was arrested from Kumira area on Thursday 2pm.
Sitakunda circle police Assistant Superintendent Iqbal Ali said the arrest was made for involvement with attacks on police, rampage on the highway and violence in the area.
