UNDP Resident Coordinator Neal Walker has held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad on Wednesday.
The meeting began in the commission at 1:20pm and ended at 2:10pm , this Dhaka Tribune correspondent reported from scene. The agenda of the meeting was not available immediately.
Other election commissioners were also present in the meeting.
On Monday, Election Commission announced January 5 the date for 10th national elections amidst threats from main opposition BNP.
Hours after the announcement, BNP-led 18-party alliance called a nationwide 48-hour blockade.
Until Wednesday afternoon, at least nine people have died in violence in several areas of the country during this blockade.
