It has been a while since Moushumi has been active on the silver and small screens and soon fans of the actor will get to see the diva in her third directorial venture. The talk of Tinseltown is that Moushumi is currently occupied with pre-production of the 100th movie produced by Impress Telefilm.
Previously, the glamorous actor had directed Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003) and Meher Nigar (2005). She’ll start filming her third movie at the end of this year.
About the film, the diva shared with Dhaka
Tribune: “I am indebted to Impress Telefilms for producing my film, I consider it a great honour that they deem me with such respect. I am striving to meet their expectations, trust and hope in my abilities as a director. Both of my previous films were also produced under their banner. So, this time I am hoping that it will be another good project as the last two were well received by the audience.”
Moushumi’s modelling career took off after winning the Anandodhara Photo Shundori contest in 1992. In early the 1990s she appeared in ads for Meril Skin Care Cream and Spin Rain Shampoo. She was cast in the advertisements for Lux, Angalik, Frame Tea, Dandy Dying, Tibet soap and many more.
A national award winning actor, Moushumi has acted in over 100 movies including Qayamat Theke Qayamat, Matritwa, Meghla Akash and Khairun Shundari, most of which have enjoyed box office success and enabled Moushumi in winning the hearts of millions around the country.
She won the National Film Award for Meghla Akash (2002). She has acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003).
