The government has promoted four additional secretaries to the rank of secretaries in the latest bout of reshuffling within the bureaucracy.
The public administration ministry issued a notification regarding the matter on Monday.
According to the ministry order, Additional Secretary for Railway Abul Kalam Azad has been promoted as secretary of the same ministry, Additional Secretary for Anti-Corruption Commission Faizur Rahman Chowdhury made the secretary, Additional Secretary for Information Murtaza Ahmed promoted to the rank of secretary and Additional Secretary for Agriculture Dr SM Nazmul Islam made secretary.
The order will take effect immediately, added the notice.
These four secretaries were performing their duties as acting secretaries of their ministry concerned.
