The Intex Rugby Championship, featuring six teams, starts at the Paltan Ground today.
The six participants are Bangladesh Army, Flame Boy’s Rugby Club, Victoria Sporting Club, Wanderers Club, Azad Sporting Club and J-Sports Rugby Academy. At a press conference at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room yesterday, Mousum Ali, the general secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Union presented the meet to the press. The General Manager of Intex Builders Md. Rezaur Rahman, joint secretary of rugby union Saeed Ahmed and AGM of Intex Builders Eng. Tarek Hossain were also present on the occasion. The sponsors are providing a purse of Tk120,000 for the meet.
S.M. Ashrafuzzaman, the secretary of NSC will inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest.
