Activists of Ganajagaran Mancha staged a protest rally at Shahbagh on Saturday afternoon.
The rally demanded implementation of the verdict on war criminals.
The pro-liberation platform reiterated their demand to ban Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from indulging in politics.
Earlier, on November 2, in its full verdict on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s registration, the High Court observed that the Election Commission had not “lawfully” registered the party in 2008 and its charter contained elements contrary to the constitution and the election rules.
