Samprodyekota Birodhi Chhatra Shikhak Mancha, a platform of the secular teachers and students, has demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of the attacks on Hindu Community in Pabna and Lalmonirhat districts.
A human chain demo was formed in front of Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University at 11am.
The speakers at the human chain demo also demanded compensation for those who became the prey of the “violent” attacks.
They have urged the government to ensure exemplary punishment for the perpetrators of the attack, and to rehabilitate the victims.
Among others, Dhaka University Bangla Department teacher Dr Soumitra Shekhar and Associate Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication Robayet Ferdous were present during the programme.
They also said a 12-member team led by journalist Abed Khan is set to visit the spot in Pabna district today.
