Swani Zubayeer on his new innings

The talented musician and vocalist, Swani Zubayeer starts a new innings of his musical career by working as the music director of the  Akram Khan directed movie, “Ghashphul.” This is the first time Zubayeer is directing the music for a film.

According to Zubayeer, the film will feature two songs and the recording of one is already completed.

Hindustani Classical singer Priyanka Gope lends her voice in the song named “Bohudin Por Ei Sokaltake, Mone Holo Konodin Dekhini Age.” The musical arrangement and composition of this song are done by Swani Zubayeer.

The other song written by Rafique-Uz-Zaman is named “Somoy Theme Giyesilo,” and will be sung by Swani Zubayeer himself. Popular musician Laucky Akhond worked on the musical arrangement of the song.

While talking about working as a music director, Swani said: “I am really very happy and grateful that Akram Khan picked me to work as the music director of the film. It is not an easy task and it has provided me with an opportunity to show my talent as a musician and there is certainly a lot of scope to prove myself.”

Previously, he has lent his voice in Chashi Nazrul Islam’s “Devdas” and Mohammad Ali Parvez’s “Priyotoma Tumi Dari Ami Koma.”

He has released a number of Bangla and ghazal albums throughout his career including “Ajasra Kabita,” “Jugolsondhi,” “Apna Khayal” “Adbhut Ek Adhar,” and more.
