A reporter of the private television station Channel 24 was injured when pickets threw crude bombs while he was gathering news during the second day of the 60-hour hartal.
The reporter, Rashed Nizam, has been admitted to United Hospital in the capital.
Witnesses said the pro-hartal activists hurled a number of crude bombs targeting the of Channel 24 vehicle in the afternoon, leaving Rashed critically injured.
The 18-party activists set off a number of crude bombs and torched two vehicles during the second day of the 60-hour hartal in the capital on Monday.
