Miscreants set fire to a government office adjacent to the Upazila Parishad in Bogra’s Nandigram upazila early Friday, despite the area currently being under section 144.
Confirming the matter, Nandigram police station Officer-in-charge Shahjahan Ali said: “Two rooms of Polli Bhaban were burned in the fire.
"Some furniture and government documents were burned in the fire incident,” said.
Meanwhile, the 36-hour ban on public gatherings was removed from most municipal areas on Friday morning.
Earlier, on March 3, unidentified miscreants set fire to 16 government offices in the same district.
