A student of Jamiatul Uloom Al-Islamia Lalkhan Bazar, who was injured in the explosion on Monday, succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday.
Habib, 25, a Kamil (Masters) student of the madrasa, was admitted to a private clinic after he had received injuries in the explosion. Later, police arrested him from the clinic and moved him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Monday at noon.
He succumbed to his injuries at CMCH around 2am.
One more grenade was recovered from the madrasa this morning.
On Monday, a massive explosion rocked Jamiatul Uloom Al-Islamia Lalkhan Bazar, a Qawmi madrasa run by senior nayeb-e-ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Mufti Izharul Islam, leaving at least four additional people critically injured.
The police recovered three home-made grenades and huge quantity of grenade manufacturing materials from the spot in the afternoon, and arrested nine people including three teachers.
