Rajshahi City Corporation is planning to bring all its operation and administration-related information online to prevent it falling behind in its service-delivery process.
Mosaddeque Hossain Bulbul, mayor of RCC, revealed this when a five-member delegation of Rajshahi Christian Sand City Friendship Committee called on him at his city bhaban office Wednesday afternoon.
BSS reports that the city corporation is going to expand the activities of ICT with the aim of bringing dynamism in its service-delivery process, through the phased replacement of existing manual activities by a digital system.
Mayor Bulbul also put emphasis on enhancing international connectivity, transforming all the RCC’s activities into a database and displaying information boards at various points in the city to make more information public.
“We have to enhance electronic connectivity with various organizations, both home and abroad, for intensifying international relations,” he stressed.
Other speakers include Delegation Members Dr Patrik Bipul Bishwas, Prof Shamsul Alam, Prof Khalequzzaman, Engineer Lutfor Rahman and Laila Raoshan and RCC Chief Executive Officer Ajahar Ali and Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun.
