BSF picks up Bangladeshi from Jhenaidah

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Kusumpur border point at Moheshpur upazila on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Harun, 22, from the upazila’s Chapatala village.

Gazi Asaduzzaman, commanding officer of Chuadanga BGB camp, said a patrol team of BSF caught Harun around 10:30pm after he mistakenly walked into Indian territory to bring back his cattle.

A flag meeting was held in this regard on Monday morning, at which BSF officials said they had captured Harun after he entered into Indian territory without valid documents.

The BSF members handed Harun over to India’s Krishnaganj police station.
