A seven-year-old girl was reportedly raped in the Teknaf’s Hnila area on Thursday.
Teknaf police station Sub-Inspector Yasin said the incident took place at a refugee camp in Nayapara.
The victim was taken to the Muslim Aid Hospital in a critical condition immediately after the incident.
The girl later recounted the incident to doctors.
On the basis of the allegations brought by the girl, police on Saturday arrested a youth, Hasan, son of Jamal Hossain, from the refugee camp.
