A class nine student was killed as a wall collapsed in city’s Halishahar area on Friday evening.
The 14-year-old, Manjurul Mawla Maruf, son of Majibul Mawla, was the student Khwaja Garibe Newaj High School.
Halishahar police station OC Md Shahjahan Kabir said the wall of a roadside dustbin fell on Maruf around 6:15pm while he was trying to pull out his cricket ball from a drain, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty doctor pronounced him dead.
