Renowned Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila,who is also a Saarc Goodwill Ambassador for HIV/AIDS, will undertake a two-day visit to New Delhi tomorrow to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, reports UNB.
It will be her first visit to a Saarc state as a Saarc goodwill ambassador. During the visit, Runa will meet the Indian health and external affairs ministers, said the foreign ministry on Tuesday.
Besides, she will join relevant officials, singers and celebrities at a programme, visit treatment and support centres for HIV/AIDS victims, and will meet journalists at a press conference.
Runa Laila was nominated as the Saarc goodwill ambassador for 2013 and 2014 alongside Ajay Devgan of India and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy of Pakistan.
