Two people were killed and 22 others injured in a road accident at Iqbal Nagar in the municipal area of Sunamganj district on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Tahmina, 18, of Joyoshree village from Dharmapashaupazila, while the identity of the other, a child, could not be known immediately.
Witnesses said the road accident occurred when a Sylhet-bound bus fell into a roadside ditch when its driver lost control over the steering wheel in the morning, leaving two people dead on the spot and 22 others injured.
The injured were admitted to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital.
