Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, one of the biggest names in the music industry of recent times, is working on his latest album which is nearing completion. In an interview with Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday, the dynamic artiste shared that the album is kind of "Arnob and Friends 2" but with a different title since the line-up has been changed from the previous album.
"Arnob and Friends Live" was released in 2009 and created huge buzz amongst the music lovers for bringing up fresh taste of fusing eastern and western music. Arnob informed that this time theline-up includes Buno in bass, Pantha Kanai in drums, Shoyeb in classical vocal, Saadul in guitar, Eivind Lodemel on piano and Arnob on vocal and guitar. The team is preparing to launch the album after Eid.
Arnob said: "The album features a total of 10 songs and we are left with recording of two songs only. Here you will find some of my old songs such as 'Kono Din Dekho Jodi Borsha Ratey,' 'Tui Janish Na' and 'Rastay Khuje Phiri' with completely different music arrangement. Moreover, there are three new songs. As an added attraction, Pantha Kanai has sung a song for the album."
"The most exciting feature of the album is the songs are being recorded in one take. The audience will have a feeling of live music. While the industry is engulfed with synthesised sound, I believe our album will give a refreshing experience to the music enthusiasts."
Arnob's latest solo album "Adhek Ghume," was released in 2009 where the multi-talented musician presented Tagore songs with piano.
