A Dhaka court Sunday set September 5 for the hearing on bail petition of Oishee Rahman, arrested on charges of murdering her parents.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Bikash Kumar Saha fixed the date after Oishee’s lawyers Advocate Prakash Ranjan Bishwas and Advocate MahbubHasan Rana filed the petition.
Earlier on Saturday, Oishee was transferred to Kashimpur Jail in the afternoon just five hours after she was shifted to Dhaka Central Jail from Gazipur Juvenile Development Centre.
Oishee and detained housemaid Sumi, accused of murdering police inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Begum, were taken to the juvenile centre on August 24 considering their ages.
However, the court ordered Oishee’s transfer from Gazipur Juvenile Development Centre to Dhaka Central Jail based on the documents provided by the case investigation officer and social welfare department that claimed the teenage girl is 18 years of age and belongs to adult prison.
