Mobile court for smooth movement of home-goers

Mobile courts will operate on highways and inter-district roads during the Pre and Post-Eid days in Rajshahi district to ensure uninterrupted communication and ease movement of passengers during Eid.

District Administration took the decision at an emergency meeting held at its conference hall in the city Tuesday with Deputy Commissioner Majbah Uddin Chowdhury in the chair, reports BSS.

Sources said there are significant numbers of Shaw Mills beside the important highways in the district. The mills usually stockpile timber logs on the roads haphazardly which creates congestion and may cause fatal road accidents.

The meeting unanimously asked the mill owners to remove the timber logs on an emergency basis. The sources said a decision was taken that the mobile courts will take legal actions against them if the logs are not removed within the next 24 hours.

SP of Rajshahi Alomgir Kabir, Godagari Upazila Chairman AKM Ataur Rahman Khan, Charghat Upapzila Chairman Abu Sayeed Chand, Bagmara Upazila Chairman DM Ziaur Rahman and Puthiya Upazila Chairman Morjina Begum took part in the meeting, among others.
