The government sent three high-ranking foreign service officials into forced retirement after completion of 25 years of service in the foreign office.
These officials were: officer on special duty (OSD) additional secretary of the foreign ministry M Maruf Zaman and OSD directors general of the same ministry Md Ashraf Uddin and M Hasib Zaman.
The ministry of public administration on Tuesday issued an order in this regard.
The order of the ministry said the officials have been sent to retirement as per service rules. The order would go into effect immediately.
Earlier, the government sent four high level civil bureaucrats who had been working as additional secretary and joint secretary, and three police officials into forced retirement in the last three months. They were also OSDs at the time of their forced retirement.
