The India government planned to to table the Rajya Sabha Bill for ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with Bangladesh on Monday.
The Constitution (119th Amendment) Bill 2013 was listed for introduction on August 12.
Minister for External Affairs Salman Khurshid would move for leave to introduce the bill.
Significantly, the Centre's move came within days of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's crucial meeting with Leader of Opposition of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley respectively.
Monday would be the second attempt of the Centre to introduce the bill, after its failed attempt during the last budget session, when AGP MPs Biren Baishya and Kumar Deepak Das foiled the attempt by the External Affairs Minister.
Since then, Bangladesh raised the issue at the diplomatic level and rushed its Foreign Minister Dipu Moni to Delhi to talk to the central leadership of the UPA government and the opposition BJP.
