Popular actors Apurbo and Opi Karim have paired-up again after three years for the single-episode play “Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen” directed by Chayanika Chowdhury. The play will be aired during the Eid festival.
However, Opi and Apurbo are not performing as Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen, legendary on-screen couple of Bangla cinema, but the audience would get some essence. The play has been writtenand produced by Nahin Kazi.
To act together with Apurbo, Opi stated: “The first time I worked with Apurbo was seven years back. The strong dedication he had then has not been changed a bit. It is always a pleasure to work with an artist with a devotion towards his work.”
Apurbo remarked about Opi: “She is one of the most natural actresses. I hope our new drama will be loved by the audience.”
Opi Karim and Apurbo first acted together in Chayanika Chowdhury’s drama “Maan Obhimaan.” After that the two popular actors worked with the same director in “Ja Kichu Chai E Jiboney,” “Meyetir Naam Kotha” and many more.
For Eid specials, Opi has completed “Jasmine O Tar Ekguccho Phul” directed by Shagor Jahan, Nujhat Alvir Ahmed’s “Deyaler Upor Ache akaash Shoho” and few more. On the other hand, Apurbo recently completed shooting on Chayanika Chowdhury’s “Aporahno,” “Bhor Holo Dor Kholo,” and “Maya Ghor.”
