Three mobile courts led by executive magistrates carried out drives Thursday in the West Khabashpur area of the town.
Official said the mobile courts led by magistrates Mamun Shibly, Mondip Ghorie and Md Asaduzzaman fined three offenders a total of Tk42,000.
In the first drive, the mobile court fined a private hospital and diagnostic center Tk20,000. If the owner fails to pay, then he/she will suffer one-month of imprisonment for unhygienic conditions in the hospital.
In the second drive the mobile court fined a medicine shop Tk20,000.
If the shop owner fails to pay, then fifteen days of imprisonment will be imposed upon him/her for selling date expired medicines and government supplied drugs.
