Shakira has won a legal victory against former boyfriend, Antonio de la Rua, after a judge in Geneva blocked an attempt by the sensational singer’s beau to access one of her megabucks bank accounts.
Shakira will not be forced to pay ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua the sum of $100 million.
The singer’s ex-boyfriend of 10 years filed the lawsuit against his former lover, claiming that he was not only her boyfriend but also her long-time business manager. The former couple has been currently engaged in an international legal war that spans Los Angeles, New York, the Bahamas and Europe.
According to various lawsuits De la Rua helped turn his ex-girlfriend into an international “Shakira brand.”
The only proof Antonio has brought forth is his claim of an “oral business agreement” which he argued with in a Swiss court.
In the recent ruling a judge told de la Rua that he has not provided enough evidence to prove that any type of professional agreement was put into place.
