A charity based concert “Rock for the Cure” has been organised by Young Guns Events and will be held on Saturday at 1pm at the All Community Club, Gulshan 2. The show aims to fight against cancer through music.
The concert features around twelve bands including the mainstream and underground, that caters to rock at the same platform. Among them, Nemesis, Shunno, Arbovirus, Karnival, Poraho, Aushruto, Owned, Story Tellers, Aftermath, Heal, Mukhosh and Kolorob would come together to raise money for curing cancer while rocking out with them.
As the organisers believe that music is a powerful medium and can be a great way to raise funds for a good cause. Also, the purpose of the show is to promote new talents in the field of music. The gig has added of hearing great music from the numerous kinds of bands.
The show’s main attraction Nemesis will present their own numbers from their last two studio albums. “We are not performing songs of other artists for last few years, since we have a good number of songs of our own,” said Zohad, vocalist of the band.
Young Guns Events aims to offer financial help to those who are fighting for their lives. The fund from the show will be donated to Ashiq Foundation for Cancer.
