The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to probe the alleged embezzlement of about Tk100m from development projects for the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), reports UNB.
The decision to conduct an inquiry into the graft allegation came from a recent meeting of the Commission.
An ACC inquiry team for the purpose will be formed soon, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said on Thursday.
ACC sources said a vested quarter plundered about Tk100m from DSCC projects in the name of repairing roads and drains.
Former DSCC Chief Executive Officer Sultanul Islam Chowdhury, chief engineer Jahangir Alam, Public Relations Officer Uttam Kumar Roy and executive engineer Kazi Burhan Uddin allegedly embezzled the money in collusion with each other, they said.
