Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed on Wednesday said BGB is “facing difficulties” holding talks with Nasaka to resolve cross-border disputes.
“Apparently, Nasaka (Myanmar border force) is reluctant to sit for talks on border issues,” he said.
The BGB chief was speaking to journalists on the occasion of his completion of six months in office. He highlighted on the restructuring process of the country’s border security force and recent developments.
Claiming to have improved BGB’s relations with its Indian counterpart BSF, he said border killing had been reduced since he took office in December last year.
